A note from the founder/creator: Hi! I created Compliment in January 2024 after getting annoyed with what media has become. To add my own touch to the industry, I wanted a platform where “newsworthy” was not a code word for “get the most clicks.” Views matter, but you can get people to read and engage without tricking them with wild headlines. I’m a REAL person writing REAL content.

Based in Chicago, Illinois, I also keep residents and tourists informed about city happenings, from creator-focused events to new restaurants, concerts, and more. I’m also an “old soul” who loves 1950s-1990s music and movies. You’ll find stories about legends who paved the way for our favorites to thrive in various industries today.
