A’ja Wilson and Angel Reese Grace the Cover of Wall Street Journal Magazine

A’ja Wilson and Angel Reese are known for being amazing athletes and cover girls.

The Las Vegas Aces center and Chicago Sky forward have made history during the 2024 WNBA season. Now, they’re both gracing Wall Street Journal Magazine’s “The Innovators” issue.

The women’s national basketball league is the magazine’s sports innovator this year, and it was only fitting that the most influential players were on the cover.

The 2024 regular season concluded historically for Wilson and Reese.

Wilson became the first WNBA player to score 1,000 points in a season, adding to her list of well-deserved accomplishments. She also snagged another MVP honor.

Reese, who concluded her rookie year in Chicago, also etched her name in WNBA history. The 22-year-old broke the consecutive double-double record, not just among rookies, but everyone.

Both Wilson and Reese are more than just athletes. They are determined women who have become role models for younger girls. Both comprehend the responsibility that comes with this and don’t take it for granted. The Wall Street Journal Magazine captured this perfectly, centering the two as young girls play basketball around them.

Wilson and Reese’s influence extends beyond the court. Their achievements have not only attracted a massive following but also inspired aspiring professional athletes in general.

They have truly taken the league to new heights, contributing to its growing audience. During their interviews, each athlete praised the other for their resilience and determination to rise above all.

“Oh yeah, that is young A’ja 100%,” Wilson said about Reese, according to Bleacher Report.
