Christina Milian and Devale Ellis gifted their acting skills to Netflix for a new holiday movie, Meet Me Next Christmas.

On October 22, the trailer was released and quickly caught the attention of social media users who were yearning for a classic holiday rom-com.

According to the plot, Layla (Christina Milian) is on a mission to meet “the man of her dreams” at the most sought-after event: the Pentatonix Christmas Eve Concert. She and James (Kofi Siriboe) met after their flights were canceled, and sparks flew instantly. They agreed to meet a year later at the concert, but it was sold out.

However, a determined woman never gives up, and a friend suggests she try a personal concierge service. That’s where Teddy (Devale Ellis) steps in. With 24 hours until the show begins, the duo is in charge of the countdown to love.

Layla says, “Listen, Teddy, my entire romantic future might hinge on this ticket.” Little does she know, a golden ticket to love is near.

According to Netflix, Meet Me Next Christmas will stream on Nov. 6.

The Grammy-nominated singer and actress told Tudum that the film is a ‘treasure hunt for love.’

“There’s a sense of magic, love, and anticipation that’s happening through the whole movie,” she said. “You just never know who they’re going to run into or what’s going to happen next.”

Milian is no stranger to romantic holiday comedies, starring in films like Falling Inn Love and Resort to Love. Others include Snowglobe, Christmas Cupid, and Memories of Christmas, which have dubbed her a rom-com queen.

Co-starring in this production adds to Devale Ellis’s television and film stardom. The Sistas and Zatima actor has made his mark in the industry with credits that include films on Lifetime and OWN.

Ellis is also a former NFL player, best-selling New York Times author, husband, and father.
