This year’s Black Music Month will be full of cultural music celebrations, including the 55th Annual Hampton Jazz & Music Festival.
Anthony Hamilton, Keith Sweat, Patti LaBelle, Gladys Knight, and more legendary and contemporary artists will offer attendees a weekend they’ll never forget. The annual beloved event will occur from Friday, June 27 to Sunday, June 29, at the Hampton Coliseum in Hampton, Virginia.
Other iconic artists included in the lineup are Lucky Daye, Stephanie Mills, PJ Morton, Lalah Hathaway, and SWV. Jeff Bradshaw and Maysa, Mike Phillips, and Damien Escobar will also perform.
There will also be a special performance by “The Legacy Band.” It will honor the legacy of the one and only Frankie Beverly and Maze.

What sets the 55th Annual Jazz & Music Festival apart from the others?
This year, the festival is partnering with The Black Promoters Collective to step into a new era of good music and celebrations. The 55th Annual Jazz & Music Festival is co-presented by the collectives group, the City of Hampton, and Hampton University.
Its sole focus is to embrace “a fusion of multi-generational musical genres while staying true to its deep jazz and R&B roots.” According to the official press release, attendees can expect a soulful and jazzy atmosphere like no other.

With a lineup like this, it’s almost impossible not to want to see every performance. Here’s who will be performing on what days:
Friday, June 27: Anthony Hamilton, Lucky Daye, PJ Morton and Lalah Hathaway
Saturday, June 28: Keith Sweat, SWV, Maze honoring Frankie Beverly “The Legacy Band,” Jeff Bradshaw and Maysa, and Mike Phillips.
Sunday, June 29: Patti LaBelle, Gladys Knight, Stephanie Mills, and Damien Escobar.
