It’s kill or be killed…defeat or be defeated.
When I saw the official trailer for New Line Cinema and Nocturna’s They Will Kill You, distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, I felt like I was watching one of those weird dreams you get after sleeping in the wrong position.
You know, you wake up with your neck or back hurting, thinking, “What the heck was that? And why was I moving so slowly?” In this movie, Asia, played by Zazie Beetz, is not dreaming; she has to fight to save her own life.

The synopsis says:
They Will Kill You unleashes a blood-soaked, high-octane horror-action-comedy in which a young woman must survive the night at the Virgil, a demonic cult’s mysterious and twisted death-trap of a lair, before becoming their next offering in a uniquely brazen, big-screen battle of epic kills and wickedly dark humor.
Along with Zazie Beetz, the film stars Myha’La (Asia’s estranged sister Maria, who works at the Virgil), Paterson Joseph, Tom Felton (Kevin), Heather Graham (Sharon, Kevin’s friend), and Patricia Arquette (Lilly Woodhouse).

They Will Kill You’s trailer has plenty of action
Beetz’s character, Asia, is an ex-convict, so there’s no fear in her heart, which you can tell by the trailer and the way she instantly goes into defense mode when something doesn’t feel right at the Virgil. What was supposed to be just her working as a housekeeper turns into gearing up for the fight of her life.
While watching the trailer on YouTube, I noticed comments from people saying we haven’t had a horror-action-comedy in a while. So, they’re looking forward to watching it in theaters on Friday, March 27. The trailer suggests They Will Kill You has something for all kinds of moviegoers. If horror isn’t your thing, I found myself laughing more than scared. There was plenty of action in the two-minute and forty-five-second video.
