Decades after gifting us with a classic ’90s sitcom and countless movies, Martin Lawrence officially has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
A handful of Black Hollywood attended the ceremony in 2023, including Steve Harvey, Tracy Morgan, and Tichina Arnold.
From 1992 to 1997, viewers worldwide saw Lawrence as Martin Payne. He was the Detroit native navigating life in the most carefree, comedic way possible.
From his romantic relationship with Gina Waters to bickering with her best friend Pam and escapades with Tommy and Cole, there was rarely a dull moment on the show.
Let’s not forget about Lawrence’s many dual characters in Martin. From Mama Payne to Jerome, Shenenah, Bob from Marketing, Roscoe, and Otis, when watching an episode, people could hear you cackling from another room.

Martin discovers the true meaning of Hollywood talk in this episode as Varnel Hill (Tommy Davidson) isn’t as welcoming as he pretends to be. In true Martin fashion, he crashes Varnel’s talk show set.
“Boos in the House”
Buying a house without telling your spouse is bad, but what’s even worse is when the house is haunted. At least, that’s what the owner wanted Martin and the gang to think. This Halloween episode is a treat.
“High Noon”
Martin gets spooked when he discovers Mad Dog No Good (Gary Coleman) has been released and wants to see him.
