Megan Thee Stallion will always be a topic of discussion. Whether it’s about her relationship, music, or taking action against those with ill intentions, you’ll always see her name in the press. People sometimes get lost in “negativity” or rumors surrounding the artist, even if it’s false, but how about we talk about the positive things she’s done?

It’s so easy to root for the Houston native to win, especially for me. I appreciate how down-to-earth she seems and that she prioritized education even while following her dreams. If you’re looking for reasons to love “Thee Hot Girl” here are four that made me a true fan.

She’s a real lyricist who won three Grammys (so far).

She’s that girl, per the Recording Academy. In 2021, the Good News rapper took home three of music’s most prestigious awards: Best New Artist, Best Rap Song, and Best Rap Performance. Her hit single, “Savage (Remix)” featuring Beyoncé, helped boost her career.

It’s so inspiring how Megan’s career was rising while she still earned her college degree.

Not many will continue their educational journey after gaining hits and Grammy awards, but Megan decided to stay in school and finish her last credits. The rapper started her college journey at Prairie View A&M University before enrolling in community college classes. She then enrolled at Texas Southern and finished her Bachelor of Science in health administration in 2021.

The Pete and Thomas Foundation was launched to honor her parents.

In 2022, to celebrate her 27th birthday, Megan launched a foundation named after her late parents, Pete Jr. and Holly Thomas. The foundation focuses on many things like education, health and wellness, and housing.

She launched a mental health resource site.

Megan’s advocacy for mental health has helped more people than she knows. She launched a site, Bad B***hes Have Bad Days Too, that provides a directory of mental health organizations offering support and resources to those in need.
