Ciara’s Star Power Will “Never Ever” Lessen

Ciara is still automatic, supersonic, hypnotic, funky fresh — even two decades after she released “1,2 Step.”

Not many artists can say their debut albums skyrocketed them into fame, and they’ve held onto that success for decades. When Ciara dropped Goodies in 2004, her music was inescapable (in a good way). She made you want to get up and dance or sing to the one that has your heart in the palm of their hands.

So every time she releases new music, everybody needs to “Get Up,” literally.

The triple threat dropped her single, “Ecstasy,” in April which included a video that proves she’s always been a hot commodity. In an Instagram post promoting the song, you can see the artist “defying gravity” on top of a chair.

A remix featuring Teyana Taylor and Normani was released in June.

A mother, wife, artist, businesswoman — Ciara does it all

Whoever said success in life slows down when you become a parent or get married clearly hasn’t seen Ciara. She is truly a woman on the move between taking care of her children, supporting her husband, Russell Wilson, during football season, and going on tours.

She doesn’t get the praise she deserves, but when you know who you are, it doesn’t matter. Ciara knows that “washed up” will never suit her; An “effortless baddie” is more like it.

Ciara is one of those artists who stays a trending topic. Meanwhile she’s collecting wins like infinity stones.

Her twenty-plus-year career is a prime example of what happens when one moves with grace and a clear vision.

So, as we continue to stream “Ecstasy,” like all of her Instagram posts and more, just remember we’re witnessing one of the most versatile musicians in the industry.
