When I think of celebrities who never have to force attention, Fran Drescher comes to mind. As a treasured style icon, she just has it and always will. You can see it through the television screen watching The Nanny, and now in a video of her posing in front of cameras, stunning in a long-sleeved black lace dress.
The first thing I said while watching this video was, “Wow, she looks amazing.” Then I thought, “Let me take notes on how she’s posing because it’s effortless for her.” The tweet below said Drescher was stepping out for a Ballet Gala in New York City. Whether she expected paparazzi or not, she was beyond prepared.
Of course, as a veteran actor, she has years of experience posing for pictures, but that doesn’t mean regular people, like myself, can’t learn from the best. One thing I noticed in the video is how she immediately walked over with a wide smile and arms out, radiating good energy.
Then, as if a director said ‘action,’ she quickly moved to different spots, smiling and angling her head seamlessly. At the 0:26 mark, she put her hand on her hip and flashed one of the brightest smiles I’ve seen, even throwing up the peace sign as she walked off.
Stay ready, so you don’t have to get ready
Unless it’s a major celebration or a photoshoot, most of us won’t have camera lights flashing at us, especially when just out and about. The major takeaway I got from the video is to stay ready, so you don’t have to get ready. Drescher immediately went into model mode, striking multiple poses in seconds.
She didn’t have to wait to make sure her makeup was perfect or the lighting was best. In 31 seconds, she did what needed to be done. As someone who is an awkward poser, my notes are filled!
